Squeak and the Peeps!

Squeak was found cold and hungry
under a shed with three little kittens

Poor little Squeak was a stray all alone and cold caring for her youngsters. As they grew bigger she knew she needed extra food if they were going to survive. She had been begging for food from a lady in Shanklin and then one day the lady saw a kitten in her garden and knew the cat and kittens needed help.

The RSPCA collection officer took one kitten to the vet as it's eyes were stuck together but the RSPCA were full so Squeak and her babies came to Cats Protection. These bedraggled Mum and kittens were housed into our isolation unit as they were in such a poor condition and with little "Chewy" having sticky eyes we couldn't risk an outbreak of flu in the main cattery. The vet confirmed that they were contagious and sadly they had to stay in isolation until they showed no more symptoms and then for a further 30 days.

These gorgeous Mum and kittens will need special understanding homes to develop their personality as sadly the early weeks of their lives were spent hiding under a shed and the remainder in an isolation unit. Although they were given all the love and care, there is nothing better than a loving home environment.  Don't forget Squeaky the Mum who bravely fought to keep her kittens alive until we were able to help them. She too needs a home and is already a domesticated loving cat.

We look forward to meeting people who may be interested in giving this family the patience and care that these felines deserve.
